7. Hog Casing

Hog casing is derived from the small intestine of the pig. It is used to stuff the meat and hold the meat for sausages such as Italian Sausage and brautwurst. It is approximately 1 ΒΌ inches in diameter, and requires roughly 2 feet of casing per pound of meat.
